In July of 2014 the owners of Dobie Center, Carlton Group, approached our company to help them lease up during the peak of leasing season. Dobie Center is located in Austin, Texas and admired how helped University Towers sign more leases through social media. At the time, Dobie Center had just brought in new management and completely renovated the student housing property. They were working extremely hard to make the best impression among college students in Austin, Texas. With a completely redesigned website, Dobie Center looked to us for activating a strong social media marketing campaign to really capture students attention and generate fast leads.

The Solution

With only a few months to work our magic, our team immediately overtook all social media accounts for the student housing property. We coordinated within the marketing plan set by corporate and amplified it through our social media marketing campaign.

On Facebook, we refined the content strategy and also extracted data from popular college groups in Austin to grow Dobie’s audience. We navigated through tweets on Twitter and created authentic conversations with students who were talking about housing. Lastly, on Instagram we grew the followers by hundreds each week and created high-quality content to engage students. This triple-threat social media marketing strategy was sure to help Dobie Center grasp the attention of the students who were actively using those specific social media platforms.

The Results


Dobie Center social media marketing campaign is killing it in the Austin market right now! They generated 50+ leads during the heart of leasing season and beginning to spark interest for the upcoming year already.
