Challenges & Objective
Due to many years of service and optimization, this client usually expects a ROAS of around 16-20 monthly. However, coming into Mother’s Day, we need to ramp up sales to take advantage of the seasonality that their products share with this holiday.
Our Solution
- Created Mother’s Day-specific carousel ads to showcase as many top-sellers from past Mother’s Day promotions as possible.
- Launched ads early enough to complete testing and undergo initial optimization before peak reach for Mother’s Day purchases hit.
- Refined our retargeting audiences to a narrower window in order to emphasize the hottest audience that is buying based on seasonality.
- Rotated promotions leading up to Mother’s Day in ad copy to keep ad frequency relatively low, as we are running these ads for about 6 weeks.
Results
- Increase in ROAS: 82.01%
- Ad Set ROAS: 58.20%
- Retargeting: 47.37% (increase in purchase volume)

Since launching the new ads April 1st, compared to the previous period (4/1/25-4/18/25 compared to 3/14/25-3/31/25):
- 82.01% increase in overall ROAS
- Best cold ad set’s ROAS jumped 58.20% up to 51.85 for the month
- Retargeting gains are being noticed from refining those audiences with a 47.37% increase in purchase volume and a 120.84% increase in ROAS
